Terms of Use

Back to EventTickets

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EventTickets ("we", "us", or "our"), an event management and ticketing platform (the "Service"). By browsing events, purchasing tickets, creating an event, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

1. The Service

EventTickets lets Hosts create and manage events (such as weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, baby showers, gallery openings, and custom events), set up ticket types with prices and sale windows, sell tickets online, track attendance with QR-code check-in, share event programs and documents, broadcast live streams, record offline sales made by salespeople, and promote events through TikTok. Guests can discover public events, buy tickets, and present their digital ticket at the door. Administrators may manage salespeople and view platform-wide activity.

2. Host Accounts & Responsibilities

Hosts must register an account to create and manage events. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate event details (date, venue, address, dress code, and description). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to sell tickets for your event and for complying with any laws, venue rules, or licensing requirements that apply to your event.

3. Ticket Types, Pricing & Availability

Hosts define ticket types (for example Early Bird, General Admission, or VIP), set the price in pounds sterling (£), the quantity available, and optional sale start and end dates. Whole-table and donation ticket types are also supported. EventTickets displays tickets that are active and within their sale window. A ticket type may show as "on sale", "upcoming", "sold out", or "sales ended" based on these settings. Hosts may activate, deactivate, edit, or delete ticket types at any time; already-sold tickets remain unaffected.

4. Buying Tickets & Payments

Guests purchase tickets through our secure checkout, powered by Base44 Payments. Your name, email, and billing details are collected on the checkout page itself, so you do not need to enter them twice. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored on our servers. All prices are in GBP. Charges below £0.50 are not supported and will be rejected. By completing a purchase, you authorise the payment provider to charge the displayed total.

5. Host Payouts & Stripe Connect

Hosts may connect a Stripe Connect account to receive ticket revenue directly. By enabling payouts, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and are responsible for providing accurate banking and identity details. EventTickets facilitates the connection but does not control payout timing beyond the schedule you select. Fee settings (absorb or pass-through) are configured by the Host and applied at checkout.

6. Digital Tickets & QR Codes

After a successful payment, you will receive one or more digital tickets, each with a unique ticket code and QR code. You can find your tickets at any time via the "My Tickets" page using your email address or ticket code. Tickets are issued for the named guest and event shown on them. You may be required to present the QR code (printed or on your device) for entry.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

Unless required by law, all ticket sales are final and refunds are at the Host's discretion. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled by the Host, the Host is responsible for communicating any refund or transfer arrangements. Payment-related refunds, where applicable, are processed through the payment provider and may take several business days to appear on your account.

8. Event Check-In

Entry to an event is managed by the Host, who may scan ticket QR codes to check guests in. A checked-in ticket cannot normally be reused. EventTickets only records check-in status and time; the Host's decision on admission is final. Possession of a ticket does not guarantee entry where the Host reasonably refuses admission (for example due to behaviour, capacity, or venue policy).

9. Offline Sales & Salespeople

Hosts may record tickets sold in person (for example by a salesperson) and track those sales for commission purposes. Salespeople managed by an administrator may be assigned to offline sales. Commission rates and payouts are agreed between the Host and the salesperson; EventTickets only records and displays these figures and does not process or guarantee commission payments.

10. TikTok Promotion & Marketing

Hosts may connect their TikTok account to display profile metrics and generate trackable campaign links. EventTickets uses the TikTok Pixel and Events API to measure ad performance and attribute ticket sales to campaigns. By connecting TikTok, you agree to TikTok's Terms of Service and grant EventTickets permission to read your public profile data and send conversion events on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring your use of TikTok marketing complies with TikTok's advertising policies. EventTickets does not manage ad spend and is not liable for campaign performance.

11. Live Streaming & Third-Party Platforms

Hosts may enable live streaming of an event using third-party platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, or Zoom. EventTickets embeds or links to these streams but does not control their availability, quality, or content. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the streaming platform and for ensuring you have the rights to broadcast any content. We are not liable for interruptions or issues caused by the streaming provider.

12. Event Content & Documents

Hosts may upload design images, seating charts, programs, and other documents for their events. Hosts retain ownership of this content and are responsible for its accuracy and for having the necessary rights to share it. EventTickets may store and display this content solely to provide the Service. We may remove content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

13. Calendar Sync

Hosts may connect their Google Calendar to create or sync event entries. This optional feature accesses your calendar through Google's authorisation. You can disconnect this at any time, and your use of Google Calendar remains subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.

14. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: purchasing tickets fraudulently or with invalid payment details; copying, sharing, or forging ticket codes; scraping or bulk-downloading event data; uploading harmful, offensive, or infringing content; attempting to gain unauthorised access; or interfering with the Service's operation. We may suspend access for violations.

15. Intellectual Property

The EventTickets name, logo, software, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without our permission. Event and ticket content remains the property of its respective owner as described above.

16. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EventTickets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from event cancellation, ticket misuse, payment disputes, streaming failures, marketing campaign outcomes, or third-party actions. We do not guarantee that every event will proceed as described.

17. Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Hosts may delete their account and associated event data at any time. Already-sold ticket records may be retained for record-keeping and legal compliance.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of EventTickets after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If material changes are made, we will notify you within the Service where practical.
